View style detailsDefine the waist position, hip level, finished length and hem width. Pencil, A-line and wrap silhouettes need different movement allowances. For a wrap design, check overlap while walking and sitting; for a pencil shape, review the slit with a normal stride.
Compare physical swatches rather than approving from a color name. Discuss how leather firmness affects pleats, panels and the hem. Review the lining and waistband construction in the finished sample so they support the intended shape without pulling or adding unwanted bulk.
Record zipper position, waistband fastening and slit reinforcement in the brief. Review hip and waist proportions across the proposed size range. Agree a measurement reference and tolerances before bulk cutting, and confirm that the hem remains level when the sample is worn.
